A chapter about letting things go and keeping distance when this is the only way to completely be yourself. Once you’ve seen an angel’s beauty you might want to keep it as close as possible, even if you yourself aren’t really ready even to commit to what it is you’re preaching. But tying the angel down will darken its glow. Shackling an angel is wasting its beauty. You often find that out that the hard way.
But apart from whatever you ‘holding on’ does to the angel it is also really bad for your own spirit and being. Going through life makes you realize that being truly alive means spreading your wings. Expectations, restrictions, claims often make you feel choked in relationships and/or are means with which you yourself might choke someone else. Knowing who you are and being able to let go are perhaps the most important things to know.
